VIDA is a 600-acre community adjacent to Texas A&M University – San Antonio.  Pairing the innovative, energetic spirit of the A&M campus with active and passive green spaces, the vibrant Zocalo town center featuring shops, restaurants, nightlife, public art, events and more,  VIDA will be a vibrant and welcoming place to live, work and play.


The Mad -  35-acre Madla Greenway winds through the community featuring active and passive open spaces and trails connecting to campus and other key community destinations. 

The Zocalo – VIDA’s town center will be directly across from the A&M campus, and will be the vibrant heart of the community. Large open gathering areas will host festivals and events, and will be surrounded by restaurants, shops, coffee shops, bars and more.

Homes – VIDA is planned for 4,000 homes, including single family, duplexes, townhomes, multi-family and student housing. Floorplans and pricing will be announced in late summer 2021. The first homes are planned to be available in early 2022. 

Commercial.  VIDA will feature over 300,000 square feet of retail at completion, ranging from office, restaurant, services and more. Retail parcels will be sold to commercial developers who fit the VIDA vision. Contact us for more information.

Connectivity – VIDA will be a series of connected neighborhoods linked by greenway trails, bike and pedestrian pathways. Neighborhood parks are dotted throughout the community, each with a distinct character, creating easily-accessed informal meeting places and diverse community destinations. The community is designed to facilitate easy outdoor connections and activities, complimented by vibrant retail and an array of housing choices.   

Schools – VIDA is zoned for Southwest ISD (also Southside ISD in future phases) Southwest ISD has planned for an onsite school, to be detailed at a future date.
