Last time we discussed 3 Essential Questions to Ask Before You Buy Land questions you need to answer before you purchase land. Today, we have three more questions for you to help you make sure you’re getting what you want—and what you expect:
In the past few days we have discussed several points you should address when you’re considering the purchase of a new home. Today, we’ll finish up with four more of what might be the most important things you should think about:
1.Consider the view. The house and the property are obviously important—sometimes so important that buyers neglect to look out all of the windows and consider: This is what I’ll be looking at, day after day, for years. Even if your home is beautiful and sound, if you can’t stand any of the views, you may end up hating living there.
It is that time of year again, and it always seems to come faster than we anticipated. As we prepare warm meals for family and enjoy the company of those we don’t see often, we can’t help but reflect on the things we are thankful for all year long.
When times are tough, we are thankful for the kind thoughts and actions of our close family and friends. Without them, life sure wouldn’t be as enjoyable! We are also very thankful for our freedom. As Americans, we sometimes take advantage of the basic freedoms we are afforded because of soldiers and their families who have sacrificed so much.

Virginia was named after Queen Elizabeth, the famous “Virgin Queen” of England, and its capital is Richmond. Virginia was the birthplace of many famous historical figures, including George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, James Madison, Woodrow Wilson, and Robert E. Lee—to name just a few—hence the nickname “Mother of Presidents.” The state flower and the state tree are both the same, Dogwood. Currently, nearly eight million people call Virginia home.
Brickshire, a Bluegreen Community in Kent County, Virginia, is a well-manicured rolling landscape designed to support an active and social lifestyle. Brickshire is centered around golf, featuring a Curtis Strange-designed course with magnificent fairways and resort styling. Curtis structured four of the holes at the course after his four favorite tour holes, incorporating elements of Augusta, St. Andrews, The Riviera, and Pinehurst. Even so, the course is described as “player friendly.” Almost 7,300 yards long, the Traditional Golf Property course has a rating over 75. Special offers are available both for visitors trying out the course and for residents interested in seasonal packages.
Southstar Communities planned a beautiful community for you in Rockwood, Tennessee, a state offering abundant Southern hospitality and delightful variety in seasonal changes. With a population of nearly six million people, Tennessee, the Volunteer State, has established industries in mining, electrical power, music, automobile manufacturing, and farming (primarily tobacco, cattle, soybeans and cotton). Tennessee’s capital, Nashville, is famously known as the music capital of the universe.
Besides its many other offerings, Southstar Communities has spectacular locations available right now in North Carolina: Catawba Falls Preserve in Black Mountain, and Chapel Ridge in Pittsboro. Pittsboro is just 42 miles away from Raleigh, the capital. (Black Mountain is 236 miles from Raleigh.) North Carolina’s population is just over 8 million people. North Carolina is known for its beaches, especially Outer Banks, popular with tourists because of its moderate climate and vast expanse of open beachfront. And of course, the Wright Brothers made their first successful manned flight right here, from Kill Devil Hill in Kitty Hawk.
