Connecticut and Kentucky, the 79,238 people who attended last night's NCAA Championship game (setting a new record), and even former Presidents Bill Clinton and George W. Bush, who sat together Jerry Jones' AT&T Stadium luxury box, all enjoyed the final act of a stellar three-day weekend in Dallas-Fort Worth. Some more than others. Count us among those who thoroughly enjoyed the whole thing as Dallas-Forth Worth once again shined over the weekend.
It was three days of excitement of the basketball, entertainment, and musical variety during which DFW showed everyone who visited why this is one of the hottest areas in the country.
DFW is used to having the attention focused squarely on it, and world-class sports is just one of the many things that make this thriving area special. The area's most in-demand lake community, Lake Ridge at Joe Pool Lake, is right up there at the top as well.
SouthStar Communities is proud to be the developer of Lake Ridge and proud to be in all of Texas' strongest cities in terms of economics and real estate values. Those include Vintage Oaks in New Braunfels and King Oaks in Bryan-College Station.
Sales and traffic in each of these communities have been stellar over the last year, and new-home starts are up across the board.
- Vintage Oaks is the "fastest growing community in the Hill Country” according to Metrostudy. Over the course of 2013, construction commenced on 61 new homes in the luxury community. Vintage Oaks sold nearly 150 homesites in 2013 and is on pace to increase those numbers with several distinct homesite offerings including The Reserve, a whole new way to enjoy living at Vintage Oaks.
- Lake Ridge continues to lead DFW lakefront property growth, with incredible traffic and sales and construction on new homes throughout the community. Lake Ridge welcomed 195 new residents in 2013, triple the number from 2012. Today, there are 14 homes under construction, including five at the gated lake-view neighborhood of The Sanctuary. This offering represents some of the most coveted lake real estate in North Texas.
- The New Year has meant a new life for Texas land buyers in Bryan-College Station’s favorite community. King Oaks, offering scenic one-acre-plus properties in a coveted location close to Texas A&M yet in a private, secluded hamlet, sold 10 homesites in the first month of 2014 and has kept up the pace.
