Vintage Oaks’ Timber Ridge Park was rocking last Tuesday, as favorite Texas musicians Shinyribs played to more than 450 guests in the Hill Country’s hottest new music venue—located right in this popular SouthStar Communities masterplan.
Music lovers came from all over the Hill Country to dance on the grass to hits like “Country DJ” and “Satellite” and enjoy Vintage Oaks’ newest amenity while Shinyribs put on a hip-shaking, soul-stirring show.
More than 450 people were in attendance, including the Texas Music Scene and Texas Music Magazine; Shinyribs lead singer Kevin Russell was the Texas Music Magazine cover story this month. Guests also feasted on Bayou J’s Cajun Kitchen, Lady Picoza’s street tacos, Pure Aloha’s shaved ice, and wine and sangria from Dry Comal Creek.
Timber Ridge Park, which was officially dedicated last month, kicked off its concert series with a packed show from country star Jack Ingram for Vintage Oaks residents last month. The lush surroundings of Timber Ridge Park are well suited to concerts, as well as a variety of other gatherings and activities. Ample benches and swings that hang from the majestic oak trees in the park—including one that’s 300 years old—provide seating, while the vast lawn is a great place for a picnic, or a pickup touch football game.
Residents and guests also appreciate the adjacent Veteran’s Walk, a commemorative stone pathway created from individual veterans’ stones, some with service dates back to the American Revolution. Nearly 100 stones have already been purchased by Vintage Oaks property owners in honor of veterans.
The park also includes walking trails that connect it to homesites in the prestigious new Timber Ridge neighborhood. Timber Ridge at Vintage Oaks offers heavily wooded, one-acre-minimum homesites at an elevated location with breathtaking views of the Texas Hill Country’s rolling terrain.
Thanks to its unique location in the back corner of the community, Timber Ridge offers a private setting with a greenbelt surround while remaining within easy walking distance to several of the community’s resort-style amenities, including the Olympic-size pool, lazy river, Tuscan clubhouse, and numerous ball fields. Vintage Oaks offers homesites ranging from 1 to 14 acres in gated and non-gated neighborhoods and semi-custom homes from leading national homebuilders.
About SouthStar Communities
As a leading developer of masterplanned communities, SouthStar Communities is committed to creating communities that look beautiful and live beautifully. Amenities that offer residents great activities and opportunities to connect is an important part of that package. So is location.
Vintage Oaks’ prime setting between Austin and San Antonio on the Texas Wine Trail puts residents in the heart of the Hill Country surrounded by some of the state’s most beautiful scenery and convenient to work centers in two of the nation’s most dynamic cities. These are just a few of the reasons why Vintage Oaks is the fastest-growing community in the Hill Country for two years running.
SouthStar also has a long history of charitable acts, most famously for its commitment to veterans and wounded warriors. Veterans Walk is the latest example of its dedication; the company’s ongoing partnership with Operation FINALLY HOME has yielded 10 mortgage-free homes for wounded veterans and their families in SouthStar Communities. House No. 11 is currently being built at Vintage Oaks for a worthy American hero.
