Austin has the No. 1 economy in the nation according to the “On Numbers” report released this week, setting the city up well for next year, said the Austin Business Journal.
“It looks like Austin is heading into 2014 with a full head of steam. In the latest monthly economic rankings of the top metros in the country, Austin is still at the head of the pack in November,” said the Business Journal. Austin sits atop the list of 102 cities, ranking especially high when it comes to jobs.
“Austin leads the country in overall job creation for the past five years, boosting the number of private industry jobs by 11.8 percent since 2008,” said the Business Journal. “No other U.S. city comes close to that percentage growth.”
Austin is home to several large companies who are either headquartered in the Texas capitol or are among the city’s largest employers, including Samsung, Facebook, Apple Inc., National Instruments, 3M Corporation, Dell Inc., and SouthStar Communities, who recently moved its corporate headquarters there. SouthStar Communities is the developer of several high-profile master-planned communities with land for sale throughout Texas, including their flagship community, Vintage Oaks. Vintage Oaks is located in New Braunfels, which is within easy commuting distance of Austin and was recently named the top rebounding city in the U.S. by Homes.com.
Vintage Oaks is the premier master-planned community in the Texas Hill Country area and also “the fastest growing community in the Hill Country” according to Metrostudy, a national housing market research firm. The fastest-growing community title is based on year-to-date sales numbers for Vintage Oaks, which total 100 so far in 2013. Vintage Oaks’ set a record with its third-quarter sales and also recorded an impressive 20 percent owner referral rate for 2013, an extremely high percentage for the housing industry.
Vintage Oaks’ banner year is owed to exceptional land in a desirable Hill Country location; numerous options for acreage property including wooded, cul-de-sac, and view homesites in both gated and non-gated neighborhoods; and resort-style amenities.
With growing consumer confidence and near-record-low rates, buyers who had been waiting for the opportunity to buy land and build their custom dream home are finally making their move. As such, Vintage Oaks has repeatedly offered new property for sale and opened new neighborhoods in 2013 to meet buyer demand. The community’s newest offerings include:
- Silver Oaks, a new neighborhood of 1- to 2.42-acre view properties within walking distance to many of Vintage Oaks’ amenities, including the Clubhouse, swimming pools, athletic fields and walking trails
- Champagne Hills, Vintage Oaks’ first gated community in more than two years, offering a private location and some of the most spectacular Hill Country views
- Vineyard Ranch, which will offer larger estate lots ranging from five to 14 acres
- The Reserve, which will offer land buyers a unique opportunity to purchase a one-acre homesite featuring a range of home designs for quick move-ins
