A recent Homes.com report listed New Braunfels-San Antonio as the top-performing rebound market in the U.S. New Braunfels. Now New Braunfels continues to evolve to give land buyers and homebuyers even more reason to call the city home. The secret is out: New Braunfels is the Texas Hill Country’s premier place to live.

New park

New Braunfels officials are breaking ground this week at Fischer Park, planned to be the largest park in the city at 62 acres. Fischer Park is expected to have hiking trails, fishing piers, a splash pad and nature center, playgrounds and pavilions, and an amphitheater.

Landa Park is currently New Braunfels’ largest park, with 51 acres of walking paths, picnic facilities, nature trails, and water activities, plus a golf course. Fischer Park will be the city’s 34th park when finished; completion is scheduled for fall 2014.

More great shopping

The residents of New Braunfels will have even more great shopping at their disposal starting this week when Charlotte-based Belk opens on Oct. 16 at the New Braunfels Town Center at Creekside. Belk will be one of the latest retailers in the shopping center, alongside Target, best Buy, JC Penney, PetSmart, and Creekside Cinemas.

Belk will be celebrating the arrival of their new 95,000-square-foot store in New Braunfels with several special events in October and November, including “Diva Day” on Saturday, Oct. 19 and a Shoe party on Nov. 21. You can get more information about upcoming events here.
