We already know New Braunfels as a desirable place to live. After all, it’s the home of Vintage Oaks, the Texas Hill Country’s premier master-planned community. It’s also where beautiful scenery, an abundance of entertainment and recreational opportunities plus great dining and shopping converge in a convenient location between Austin and San Antonio. Now a new report from a leading real estate source has reconfirmed how desirable New Braunfels is. Homes.com reports that San Antonio-New Braunfels is #1 on the list of top-performing rebound markets—one of six Texas cities in the top 10. San Antonio-New Braunfels is followed by #2 Houston, #3 Austin, and #4 Dallas-Fort Worth. Homes.com reports that these four cities “are among the top-performing rebound markets in the U.S. and have recovery rates of more than 150%.”
Not coincidentally, SouthStar Communities’ flagship neighborhood, Vintage Oaks, is located in the heart of New Braunfels (SouthStar also has master-planned communities in or near each of the other three top-performing cities). Development foresight is no accident, and neither is smart planning that allows SouthStar’s communities to thrive.
Vintage Oaks continued its strong sales pace over the past few years while other communities were struggling to find their footing in a tough real estate market. Vintage Oaks had its best quarter in several years in the first quarter of this year and has now released two brand-new neighborhoods, Silver Oaks and Champagne Hills, to meet buyer demand.
Other important data from the Homes.com report:
- “San Antonio-New Braunfels, TX reported the highest rebound of all markets that have recovered more than 100% with a peak index value of 148.57”
- San Antonio’s “whopping recovery rate (233.11%) is the highest in the U.S by far
- According to the most recent Local Market Index and Rebound reports from Homes.com, cities throughout Texas are fully recovered and have actually seen recovery rates exceeding 200%! In fact, eight of the 15 fastest growing cities in the U.S. and six of the Top 10 recovering U.S markets” are in Texas
