Grab your dancing shoes and head on over to Gruene Hall, which was featured on the list of Must-See Central Texas Dance Halls by YesToTexas.com! Located only about 20 minutes away from Vintage Oaks, you can round up your friends and family and head to one of the most historic dance halls in Texas.
Gruene Hall is the oldest actively running dance hall in Texas. Build in 1876 by Henry D. Gruene, this landmark has been an icon for Texas music and dancing, having hosted acts such as George Strait, Willie Nelson, and many more.
Once you work up enough of an appetite, head on over to the Gristmill River Restaurant & Bar located right next to Gruene Hall. The Gristmill, since 1977, is also part of the Gruene Historic District, and the perfect stop on your way back to Vintage Oaks from a night of fun dancing and music.
The dance hall has a tendency to get packed, so before you head out, it would be wise to purchase tickets online ahead of time, especially on the weekends. During the week, it’s less crowded, but still provides guests with concerts and special events.
You can check out the list of upcoming performances by heading to their website and browsing by the desired month. Their September Lineup features artists Lisa Marie Presley, the Joe Ely Band, and many more! Check out the calendar to see the rest, buy tickets and see what they’re offering for free!
Like the list says, Gruene Hall is a must-see! So head on down for music, dancing, entertainment and fun! For more information visit GrueneHall.com.
